Hi I'm Eleonora Capobianco
I chose the pack as a lifestyle and a therapy
Always been an animal lover, I studied to make a living out of this passion.
I have a Bachelor in "Animal Husbandry and Welfare" and a Master in dog training and rehab with cognitive-anthrozoological approach.
I have been around animals since I was little.
Being an only child, my pets and the horses I rode where like my second family and my most important role models. Growing up I felt like I fitted in more with animals than humans and I focused my studies to remain in the animal welfare field and got my Bachelor.
Later, one particularly special dog just added to my family, pushed me to continue to study in order to be able to help him and that is when my life took a more defined direction.
Anthrozoology is the science that studies human-animal relationships and it blew my mind.
It changed the way I relate to my dogs and animals in general and gave me a new prospective on human relationships and communication as well.
Being around dogs can improve the way we relate to others and teach us a lot of coping strategies.
That is why I chose to always be part of a pack and to show others how understanding and embracing pack's dynamics can make their life better.
I now like to consider myself as a language teacher and a relationship coach, because my job is to teach pet owners to understand and communicate with their furry friends in order to build a beautiful bond.
I think at dog training as a way to learn to share a life with our pet and not a simple commands course.
Dogs and owners participate equally in the learning process and both their lives can benefit.
Therefore I don’t label myself as simple dog trainer but I chose the definition of
“Pack Therapist".
Rescued is my favorite breed,
Shelters my favorite training field.
I work as professional dog trainer and behaviorist collaborating with vets since 2015, but my real passion are rescues and rehoming centers.
I started volunteering when I was sixteen, then after years of related studies I chose to work in several shelters in south of Italy and latest at the MSPCA in Malta.
I've always fought to show people that kennel's dogs are not second choice animals and that adopting is the best experience someone can do.
I met a lot of amazing dogs in the years I spent in shelters, some I adopted myself and others I helped find a home, but each one of them I remember.
Working in kennels gave me the chance to see hundreds of dogs, each one with his own individuality and everyone with something new to teach me.
I focused my attention also on stray dogs and feral dogs, trying to keep their freedom intact while working on new ways to integrate them in the local human context.
Studying their pack dynamics fascinated me and gave new prospective to my training approach.
